F. R. Kreutzwaldi 5 room 1A11

On December 4, from 10:00 until 11:00 in room 1A11 of Metsamaja (Fr. R. Kreutzwaldi 5), Associate professor Per-Ola Hedwall (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Centre of Southern Swedish Forest Research) will give a guest lecture entitled "When foundation Vaccinium species go undercover – the overstory has impacts beyond abundance."

Per-Ola Hedwall is a researcher and teacher in forest ecology at the Southern Swedish Forest Research Centre, SLU at Alnarp. His research focuses on how forest management and climate change affect biodiversity and the output of different ecosystem services from the forest. Per-Ola has, among other things, used data from the Swedish National Forest Inventory to study how forest ecosystems change over time and to try to understand the reasons behind these changes.
