BOVA course «Renewable Energy Technologies» (4,5 ECTS points) will take place on April 4-8 in Kaunas, Lithuania.
The aim of the course is to give the students an overview of potentials of renewable energy resources, energy conversion technologies, environmental and climate impact considerations and evaluation of benefits and energy efficiency. Renewable energy sources such as biomass, wind, solar, hydropower, and geothermal can provide sustainable energy services can contribute to securing long term sustainable energy supplies, help reduce the local and global atmospheric emissions, and provide commercially attractive options to meet specific energy service needs, particularly in rural areas helping to create new employment opportunities there.
