International course deals with agrifood suppy chains

On March 9 to 13, BOVA-NOVA master course "Agrifood Supply Chains in the Baltic Sea Region" takes place at the Estonian University of Life Sciences. The course aims to enhance the capacity of students in better understanding interrelations of agrifood sectors in the Baltic Sea region, and interrelations between agrifood sectors of the Baltic Sea region and the global agrifood value chains.

After the course, students are expected to be able to analyse the competitive situation of the agrifood sectors in their home country and also in the Baltic Sea region, EU and global contexts.This year’s course pays special attention to the relationships between the agrifood supply chains in the Baltic Sea region and in the Russian Federation.

Participants of the course include students from Estonian University of Life Sciences, Aleksandras Stulginskis University, University of Helsinki, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Norwegian University of Life Sciences. The course is supervised by Csaba Jansik (Natural Resource Institute Finland), Ants-Hannes Viira and Tiiu Ohvril (Estonian University of Life Sciences) and Tiina Saron (Estonian Dairy Association).
