International Staff Week

On April 20-24, the first International Staff Week took place at the Estonian University of Life Sciences with representatives of 17 partner universities from 12 countries. During the week, our guests participated in presentations and workshops about e-learning, international relations, higher education marketing and popularisation of science, and were introduced to the Limnology Center and Tartu Nature House.

Participants also had a chance to pay a visit to the university’s micro dairy, soil museum as well as various departments to meet their colleagues.

Tobias Wölfl from Bingen University of Applied Sciences commented that he liked most about the staff week the well balanced programme. „Not only did we get to know the campus of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, but also had many chances to get in touch with Estonians and learn about history and culture in Tartu“, he said, adding that from the programme he liked the most the visit to the Limnology Center as well as to Tartu Nature House, and the workshop on student recruitment methods – the experience from which he was happy to put into practice at the exchange studies information market taking place right after the workshop.
