The rector candidates of the Estonian University of Life Sciences were revealed

Today the nomination of candidates for the election of the rector of the Estonian University of Life Sciences ended, and by the deadline, the nominations of three people were received.

On September 27, the Council of the Institute of Forestry and Engineering decided to nominate Professor Paavo Kaimre as a candidate for rector of the Estonian University of Life Sciences. By the decision of the Council of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences on October 4, Professor Ülle Jaakma was nominated as the rector candidate of the Estonian University of Life Sciences. On October 6, the Council of the Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences decided to nominate Professor Endla Reintam as a candidate for rector of the Estonian University of Life Sciences. The Student Union decided to submit Endla Reintam's candidacy on October 10.

The public debate of the candidates will take place on October 24 at 2 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of the main buildin and the rector's election meeting on October 28. The rector's term of office begins on January 1, 2023 and lasts for five years.
