A new exhibition in the Lake Museum is ready to explore, as visitors are invited to explore and discover the impressive marvels of Võrtsjärv.

The exhibition showcases a captivating overview of the lake's inhabitants and their interactions within the aquatic environment, while also providing valuable insight into Võrtsjärv's overall health and monitoring initiatives.

Additionally, visitors can learn about the secret parallels between Amazonia and Võrtsjärv in an award-winning exhibition that took home the top prize in the Estonian University of Life Sciences' 2022 science popularization competition. The exhibitions were expertly prepared by the scientists of the Centre for Limnology.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No. 951963. The project was supported also by Estonian Research Council with grants PRG1167 and PRG709, and Elva municipality.
