Invention from Eesti Maaülikooli was granted a patent
Estonian Patent Office decided that the invention «Instrument for obtaining cytological, bacteriological and smear samples from uterus» (P200600019) met all the requirements of § 8 of the Patent Law and is now granted the Estonian Patent.
Registration for the BOVA Master Course «Landscape Studio» in Latvia University of Agriculture now open
The course (6 ECTS in total) will concentrate on landscape perception, assessments and analyses, landscape values and multifunctional landscape use and landscape identity.
Cafes in the Campus are Open Again
The café in the Old Main Building of the University (Kreutzwaldi 64) will be open from September 1. Opening hours are 10.00 – 14.00. Soup of the day costs 0.95 EUR and the dish of the day 2.30 EUR.
Café at the Main Building (Kreutzwaldi 1A) is open from August 30. They charge 2.70 EUR for the dish of the day.

Opening of the New Academic Year
The Opening Ceremony of the Estonian University of Life Sciences will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Old Main Building of the University (Kreutzwaldi 64) on Thursday, September 1 at 12. 00 am.
The Opening Ceremony will be followed by briefings at respective institutes at 13.30 (buses to Eerika and Riia 181 at the end of the ceremony).

Baltic Agronomy Forum at EMU
The 18th Biennial Baltic Agronomy Forum is taking place at the Estonia University of Life Sciences from June 30th until July 1st. The forum is organized by the department of Field Crop and Grassland Husbandry and it is carrying on the tradition from year 1973. Scientist working on agronomy or related fields from the Estonian University of Life Sciences, the Latvia University of Agriculture, the Lithuanian University of Agriculture and the Institute of Agriculture of Lithuanian Research Center for Agriculture and Forestry are participating at the forum.
