NJF (Nordic Association of Agricultural Scientists) together with Eesti Maaülikool are organizing a scientific seminar on «Dairy production in modern loose housing cowsheds - practical implications and future challenges» in Convention centre «Dorpat» on May 4-6 2011.   

Bachelor, Master and PhD students of all Estonian universities are invited to participate in WinterAcademy 2011 — a science conference about biodiversity. The conference takes place on March 4-6, 2011 in Pühajärve Holiday resort.

Modern vets are much more than animal doctors, they contribute towards everyone’s health and well being. To celebrate the important role vets play in our daily lives all photographers are called on to capture the work of vets all over the world. Students can register until February 14 for the first Baltic Economic Forum that will be held in Riga on March 17 to 19. The event, organized by the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, will give college students from the Baltics a first-of-its-kind opportunity to discuss regional macroeconomic issues with business journalists, economists and executives, and engage in a joint analysis of the opportunities and challenges that the Baltics face as export-driven economies.

On January 14. Piret Bergmann’s (PUSA) art exhibition was opened at the EMU library. You can see about  a dozen rident and colourful paintings.

The Polli Research Centre for Horticulture is responsible for the investigation and preserving of genetic resources of fruit and berry cultivars and selections bred in Estonia. Conference «20 years of research evaluation in Estonia» will be held at the Dorpat Convention Centre in Tartu on January 27 2011.

EMU ski marathon will take place on Saturday, February 5 2011 on the Tartu Marathon tracks. The organization committee comprises of Anne Luik, Sirje Vilbaste and Juhani Püttsepp.
