The Association of Estonian Tourism Education (AETE) links educational institutions, teachers, university teachers, organisations and individuals involved in tourism education or that of related fields in Estonia.

«Studia rerum forestalium» was published to commemorate the 90th birthday of Estonian higher education in forestry. The book was first presented during the conference “Estonian Forestry Research – its present and future perspectives, held in Tartu on November 26 2010.

Non-Native Blueberries Ideal for Reclaiming Peatlands

A doctoral thesis by Tairi Albert of the University of Life Sciences found that North American blueberry species could be well used for reclaiming cutover peatlands where acidity makes cultivation of other food plants impossible.

Two Estonian companies, the Bio-Competence Centre of Healthy Dairy Products and Feanor OÜ won Quality Innovation Awards in Finland. In addition, AS Vähiuuringute Tehnoloogia Arenduskeskus (Competence Centre for Cancer Research) received special recognition.

Festive Assembly at Eesti Maaülikool

At 12o’clock on November 12 the Festive meeting will take place at the Assembly Hall of the Main Building of the university (Kreutzwaldi 1a). Professor Jukka Ahokas from the University of Helsinki will be conferred the title of Honorary Doctor.
