Structure of the university

The academic structure is composed of research and development institutes or institutions, centres and other structural units. Currently, teaching and research are carried out in three institutes.​ Academic activities are supported by administrative departments. 

· Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences of Estonian University of Life Sciences, in Estonian Eesti Maaülikooli põllumajandus- ja keskkonnainstituut, – was established, merging the former Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the former Institute of Economics and Social Sciences;

· Institute of Forestry and Engineering of Estonian University of Life Sciences, in Estonian Eesti Maaülikooli metsanduse ja inseneeria instituut – was established, merging the former Institute of Forestry and Rural Engineering and the former Institute of Technology;

· Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences of Estonian University of Life Sciences, in Estonian Eesti Maaülikooli veterinaarmeditsiini ja loomakasvatuse instituut.
