ERASMUS+

The Erasmus+ programme aims to boost skills and employability, as well as modernising Education, Training, and Youth work.

All EU countries, but also Iceland, Norway, Lichtenstein, Turkey and North Macedonia and Serbia have joined the programme. Universities from the abovementioned countries can apply to participate in the programme. The Estonian University of Life Sciences (EMÜ) has been participating in Erasmus since Estonia joined the programme in 1998. EMÜ successfully passed the application round for the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and is now also participating in the Erasmus+ programme.

Ways to participate in Erasmus during your studies at EMÜ:

Studies last 3-12 months but for placements, the minimum duration is 2 months. Students will be able to study and/or train abroad for up to 12 months within each study cycle (bachelor, master or doctorate), irrespective of the mobility type (studies or traineeships) and number of mobility periods (for example, 2 periods of 6 months or 3 periods of 4 months).

For academic staff, the Erasmus programme offers opportunities to teach at a partner university for a shorter period of time. Administrative staff can also benefit from the programme and participate in trainings at another university, company or organisation. More information about opportunities for employees can be found on the Intranet.
