Erasmus+ veterinary traineeship

The general requirements and conditions and scholarships are exactly the same as for other Erasmus+ traineeships

During the 2023/2024 academic year, students who are also working and getting paid during their traineeship at the host organisation, will be eligible for Erasmus+ funding for only 2 months.

Veterinary medicine students have many opportunities during their studies to do a training either at EMÜ or abroad, in university clinics or private clinics or farms, depending on the type of training.

How to choose a host institution?

Check our list of Erasmus partner universities – there are many universities among them where they also teach veterinary medicine.

You can also look for a host institution yourself, but in this case, you need to consult the head of your curriculum to make sure the place suits your needs and the requirements EMÜ has for the practical training to be recognised in your curriculum later.

Note that the host institution does not need to be our partner. It can be a university but also a private clinic (depending on the kind of traineeship you need to do).

How to apply?

Applying to a university clinic

It depends on the clinic, for some we need to nominate you first but with some, it' okay to just contact them yourself.

For more details about some universities our students have been to, please check this spreadsheet

Applying to a private clinic

Just contact the clinic, set up the content and time of the clinic and then submit the application to us.

Deadlines

Applications to private clinics can be submitted all year round.

Host universities usually have deadlines until when they accept applications, so this needs to be considered when planning the training.
