Starting from the 2021/2022 academic year, it is possible for us to support traineeships also outside the programme countries of Erasmus+, i.e. in countries outside Europe. Funds for this are limited.
The general requirements are exactly the same as for other Erasmus+ traineeships.
Scholarships
General scholarship: 700 EUR/month (250 EUR/month added for those with fewer opportunities, no additional trainee top-up (normally 150 EUR), only for regions 5* and 14**.
Travel grant for travelling from a programme country to a partner country (except when going to countries in regions 5' and 14**)
The distance is calculated using the distance calculator of the European Commission
If a student travels to the destination using a green travel method (as of now: not by plane, boat or alone in a car and proof needs to be provided to the coordinator of EMÜ), 2+2 more travel days can be added to the general scholarship and traineeship period.

Please note that using this scholarship for going on a traineeship to your home country is not a priority for us so we will first and foremost consider applications for students applying to go to countries that are not their home countries in this case.
Practical trainings part of the curriculum are preferred.
Maximum length of the trainings outside Europe that can be supported is 6 months.
