Uzair Aftab, a graduate of the Environmental Governance and Adaptation to Climate Change (ENGO) programme at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, made a career shift after more than 14 years in financial journalism and operational management. Today, he works at the university, contributing to communication and research in the environmental field.

On 1 April, the Estonian University of Life Sciences opened admissions to its doctoral programmes, offering prospective PhD candidates the opportunity to choose from a wide range of research topics that address pressing societal challenges — from climate change and artificial intelligence to animal health and sustainable agriculture.
Helena Valvur and Lily Black are first-year students in the Environmental Governance and Adaptation to Climate Change (ENGO) Master’s programme, jointly offered by the Estonian University of Life Sciences and the University of Tartu.
