Biography

Paolo Corvo is a researcher and assistant professor in general sociology at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Italy. He received his undergraduate degree in humanities and his doctorate in sociology and social research methods from the Sacred Heart Catholic University in Milan. There he taught social politics at the Piacenza campus, sociology of tourism in Milan and Brescia, and general and environmental sociology in Brescia.
Professor Corvo previously worked in research and training on tourism and local development, the processes of globalization and civil society and cultural dynamics, and in the non-profit sector. His is also the national coodinator of the research group on the sociology of tourism and is a member of the editorial committee for the “Turismo, Consumi, Tempo Libero” series from Franco Angeli, working also with the journals Studi di Sociologia and Tourism Management. Professor Corvo is a member of a number of national  (AIS and AIQUAV) and international (ISA, ESA, ISQOLS) associations.
