Godspeed, Solaride!

On Monday evening, we sent Estonia's first solar vehicle Solaride to Morocco from the large workshop of the Technology complex.

On the African continent, the machine will be tested in an international competition from 23 to 29 October on a 2500 kilometer journey. The aim of the racing of student-built solar machines is to stimulate technological innovation in the development of solar-powered transport and to recognize the art of engineering.

189 people from six universities and colleges contributed to the construction of Solaride through their volunteer work. The car took 651 days to complete.
