Professor Ülo Niinemets once again became one of the most cited scientists in the world

The company Clarivate Analytics, which evaluates the contribution of the world's researchers, once again compiled a list of the most influential and cited researchers of the year.

This year, two Estonian researchers were listed there. Professor Ülo Niinemets of the Estonian University of Life Sciences has been on this ranking for five years, and this year as well.

According to Clarivate, Niinemets has written 422 scientific publications during his research career and has been cited a total of 32,711 times. The researcher's H-index is 89.

Another highly cited researcher this year is Kessy Abarenkov, Associate Professor of biodiversity informatics at the University of Tartu. The researcher is a member of the Center of Excellence EcolChange established in cooperation between the two universities and led by Ülo Niinemets.
