Acquisition of a Glovebox

We would like to receive offers for the acquisition of a Glovebox with gas purification system for work under 1ppm of moisture.

The offers must include shipment, delivery and installation. Offers can be sent for any model that fits with the following description:

 

Technical specification

 

Glove box

Specifications:

- Glove box with gas purification system for the work under controlled atmosphere with <1ppm oxygen and <1ppm moisture.

- Main antechamber d>= 250mm, l>=400mm, right side, manual evacuation if possible, with refill with ball valve.

- Gas purification system for closed cycle circulation. Removal of oxygen and moisture < 1ppm (refering to gloveboxes with max. Leak rate O2 0.05 Vol%/hr). Max purifying volume: 4 m3. Capacity blower: 30m3/hr, max 84m3/h. Quiet running, precision side channel blower, long life, oil free and internally mounted. Removal of moisture and oxygen using a closed loop re-circulation system.

- H2O analyzer, PLC controlled, measuring range 0-500vpm, but not limited to.

 

Application Area

The glovebox is design for organic synthesis and the manipulations of air-sensitive chemicals like metal-organic precursors under inert atmosphere.

 

Glove box design

- The glove box should preferably be built in stainless steel (type 1.4301 (304) or higher) materials with integrated gas purification system for work under < 1ppm oxygen and most importantly <1ppm moisture atmosphere.

- The glove box should be single side with 2 glove ports.

- 1 or 2 antechambers.

- The cabinet length should be between 940 to 1250 mm and the whole system width, including antechamber and gas purification system should not exceed 2200 mm. The cabinet heigh should be 600 mm or higher and the depth should be 650 or larger. The volume of the glove box should be higher than 0.37 m3.

- The glove box should be equipped with an automatic box pressure sensor from -5 to + 5mbar and the box can be operated in over pressure. The pressure should change automatically depending on the over and under pressure limits set on the sensor.

- Stainless steel piping for circulation gas.

- Working gas exhaust line has a mechanical over pressure relief valve to protect the system in case of power cut-offs or if the vacuum pump is switched off.

 

Working gas purification unit:

- Both nitrogen and argon working gases can be used.

- The system should have the ability of removing oxygen, water and organic solvent vapour that could contaminate the inside of the glove box. To remove organic solvent, charcoal filter should be proposed.

- The system should be a single column type gas purification system for obtaining <1ppm oxygen and <1ppm water trace levels in working gases.

- It must be possible to use the device without a water cooling system

- The circulation blower flow rate should be at least 25m3/hr.

 

Controlling of the glove box

- Controller can be manual or with touch screen monitor (in English).

- The moisture content and box pressure should be always visible.

- Attached on the side or above (optional) of the glove box or the antechamber.

 

Front window

- Laminated mineral glass including two glove ports with at least 180 mm.

 

Large antechamber

- Cylindrical or rectangular, preferably stainless steel antechamber with lifting mechanism inside and outside the glove box. Diameter of at least 250 mm, not longer than 600 mm from the outer glove box wall.

 

Glove box shelves

- Two or more adjustable stainless steel shelves those are located on the back wall. Total shelving should be at least 600mm in length and at least 170mm in depth.

 

Oxygen analyzer in option

- Measurement range 1-500ppm or wider.

 

Moisture analyzer

- Measurement range 1-500ppm or wider.

 

Electrical

- Internal socket, at least one twin, 220V.

- External changeable light source.

 

Warranty

At least two year warranty

Delivery – 50 days.

 

 

The award criteion is the lowest cost.
