EMÜ Ukraina üliõpilasstipendiumi statuut
I ÜLDSÄTTED
1. Eesti Maaülikooli Ukraina stipendiumikonkursi eesmärk on toetada Eesti Maaülikoolis (edaspidi: EMÜ) Ukraina päritolu ja vähemalt kuni 2021. aastani Ukrainas elanud magistri- ja doktoriastme üliõpilaste õpinguid ning aidata kaasa nende haridus- ja teadusteekonna sujuvale jätkumisele.
2. Stipendiumikonkursi fond moodustub sihtasutusele Eesti Maaülikooli Joosep Tootsi Fond (edaspidi: Fond) Ukraina stipendiumifondi annetatud summast.
3. Stipendiumikonkurss viiakse läbi üks kord aastas, konkurss kuulutatakse välja sügissemestril.
4. Fond kuulutab konkursi välja Eesti Maaülikooli koduleheküljel ning Eesti Maaülikooli elektroonilistes infokanalites (e-postilistides, õppeinfo süsteemi kaudu jms).
5. Ühe stipendiumi suurus on 400 eurot kuus.
6. Väljaantavate stipendiumite arv sõltub fondi laekunud vahenditest. Otsuse väljaantavate stipendiumite arvu osas teeb stipendiumikomisjon.
7. Stipendiumi makstakse igakuiselt, septembrist 2023.a augustini 2024.a.
8. Väljamaksmine toimub üliõpilase näidatud arveldusarvele hiljemalt iga kuu 20. kuupäevaks (v.a esimene osamakse septembri eest, mis laekub pärast stipendiumiotsuste tegemist 10 päeva jooksul).
9. Stipendiumile kandideerimise tähtaeg on 25. september 2023.
II STIPENDIUMI KANDIDAADILE ESITATAVAD NÕUDED
10. Eeldused stipendiumile kandideerivale üliõpilasele:
10.1 Ukraina kodakondsus;
10.2 Eesti Maaülikooli välisüliõpilase staatus;
10.3 Motivatsioon valitud eriala omandada;
10.4 Ei oma töösuhet Eesti Maaülikooliga.
III STIPENDIUMI TAOTLEMINE
11. Stipendiumi taotlemiseks tuleb esitada:
11.1 Vabas vormis inglisekeelne motivatsioonikiri, kus kinnitatakse vastavust stipendiumi nõuetele ning antakse ülevaade erialavaliku põhjendusest ja erialasele tulevikule seatud eesmärkidest.
11.2 Elulookirjeldus koos taotleja isikukoodi ja arveldusarve numbriga.
11.3 Varasemate õpingutulemuste väljavõte, kui võimalik, siis koos keskmise hindega.
12. Taotlus koos lisadega esitada hiljemalt 25. septembriks märksõnaga „Ukraina stipendium" SA Eesti Maaülikooli Joosep Tootsi Fond juhatusele kas e-posti teel tootsifond@emu.ee või posti teel: SA EMÜ Joosep Tootsi Fond, Kreutzwaldi 1a, Tartu, 51014.
IV STIPENDIUMI MÄÄRAMINE
13. Stipendiumi määrab vähemalt kolmeliikmeline komisjon. Komisjoni kuuluvad õppeprorektor, õppeosakonna esindaja, Fondi esindaja. Komisjonil on õigus kaasata otsustamisse ülikooliväliseid eksperte või stipendiumifondi rahastanud ettevõtete esindajaid.
14. Stipendiumikomisjon lähtub otsuse tegemisel motivatsioonikirjas kirjeldatud erialastest eesmärkidest, võrdsete tulemuste korral on eelistatum kandidaat, kelle õppetöö tulemused on paremad.
15. Stipendiumikomisjon teeb otsuse stipendiumite määramise kohta hiljemalt 30. septembriks.
16. Stipendiumi ei maksta akadeemilisel puhkusel viibivale üliõpilasele.
17. Stipendiumikomisjonil on õigus jätta stipendium määramata. Otsust stipendiumite määramise/mittemääramise kohta ei pea põhjendama.
18. Kui osa annetustest jääb stipendiumiteks välja andmata, kantakse Ukraina stipendiumifondi laekunud vahendid üle järgmisesse perioodi või mõne teise Eesti Maaülikooli üliõpilase õpingute toetamiseks. Otsuse kooskõlastavad komisjoni liikmed ning Fondi nõukogu.

Ukrainian Student Scholarship Statute
I GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. The aim of the scholarship competition is to support the studies of Ukrainian-origin master's and doctoral students at Estonian University of Life Sciences (hereinafter: the University) and have resided in Ukraine at least until 2021, and to contribute to the continuation of their educational and research journey.
2. The scholarship competition fund is formed from the amount donated to the Ukrainian scholarship fund of the Estonian University of Life Sciences Joosep Tootsi Foundation, in Estonian: SA Eesti Maaülikooli Joosep Tootsi Fond (hereinafter: the Foundation).
3. The scholarship competition is held annually, and the competition will be announced during the autumn semester.
4. The Foundation announces the competition on the website of the University and through electronic information channels of the University (such as e-mail newsletters, study information system, etc.).
5. The amount of one scholarship is 400 euros per month.
6. The number of scholarships to be awarded depends on the funds received by the the Ukrainian scholarship fund. The decision regarding the number of scholarships to be awarded is made by the scholarship committee.
7. The scholarship is paid monthly from September 2023 to August 2024.
8. Payment is made to the bank account specified by the student no later than the 20th of each month (except for the first installment for September, which will be deposited within 10 days after the scholarship decisions are made).
9. The deadline for applying for the scholarship is September 25, 2023.
II REQUIREMENTS FOR SCHOLARSHIP CANDIDATES
10. Qualifications for a student applying for the scholarship:
10.1. Ukrainian citizenship;
10.2. the status of a foreign student at the University;
10.3. motivation to acquire the chosen specialty;
10.4. No employment relationship with the University.
III APPLYING FOR A SCHOLARSHIP
11. To apply for the scholarship, the following documents must be submitted:
11.1. a free-form letter of motivation in English, confirming compliance with the requirements for the scholarship and providing an overview of the reasons for choosing the field of study and the goals set for the professional future;
11.2. Curriculum Vitae (CV) along with the applicant's personal identification code and bank account number;
11.3. transcript of academic results, if possible, with average grade.
12. The application along with the attachments must be submitted by September 25, 2023 at the latest with the keyword 'Ukraina stipendium' to the Board of the Foundation via e-mail: tootsifond@emu.ee or by postal mail: SA EMÜ Joosep Tootsi Fond, Fr. R. Kreutzwaldi 1a, Tartu, 51014.
IV AWARDING OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
13. The scholarship is determined by a committee of at least three members. The committee includes the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, a representative from Department of Academic Affairs, and a representative from the Foundation. The committee has the right to involve external experts or representatives of companies that have funded the scholarship in the decision-making process.
14. The scholarship committee bases its decision on the professional goals described in the motivation letter; in case of equal results preference is given to a candidate with better academic performance.
15. The scholarship committee will make a decision on awarding scholarships by September 30, 2923 at the latest.
16. The scholarship is not paid to a student on academic leave
17. The scholarship committee has the right not to award the scholarship. The decision to award/not award scholarships does not need to be substantiated.
18. If part of the donations remains undistributed as scholarships, the funds received in the Ukrainian scholarship fund will be transferred to the next period or used to support the studies of another student of the University. The decision is coordinated by the members of the committee and the Board of the Foundation.
