Praktika väikeloomakliinikus

Erasmus+ exchange (practical training)

We would be happy to host you for a practical training at the Estonian University of Life Sciences.

While the biggest number of students we receive for practical training are students of veterinary medicine, we are open to students from most fields that we offer. The application procedure varies depending on the field (see below).

If you have any questions, please turn to our incoming student coordinator Ksenia Safonova at [email protected] .

Practical training at EMÜ

Our animal clinics host international exchange students every year and mostly during the summer months (June - September).

There is no deadline for applying for a spot at our clinics, we accept applications all year round and spots are given on first come first served basis. So the earlier you contact us, the more likely it is that you're accepted.

To apply, please send an e-mail with the following information to [email protected]:

  • Your name and name of your home university
  • What year of your studies will you be in during the training (students must finish their pre-clinical studies before the training at EMÜ)
  • What training would you like to do? (small animals, equine, production animals)
  • When would you like to come and for how long?

Please also attach your CV to the e-mail.

Currently, we don't have a list of practical training / internship positions available at our university.

If you are interested in conducting your training at our university, there are two options:

  1. You contact someone at the department / chair of your interest directly
  2. You contact the international office first and we pass on your request to the appropriate department

Either way, the information you should definitely include in your e-mail is as follows:

  • Your name and name of your home university
  • What are you currently studying?
  • Why are you interested in doing your practical training at our university?
  • In what field would you like to conduct your training and what would you like to do more exactly?
  • When would you like to come and for how long?

Please also attach your CV to the e-mail.

Please send the request to [email protected] or directly to the appropriate department. You can check our institutes here:

EMÜ EQUINE CLINIC

Two months at the EMÜ equine clinic were full of valuable experiences and learning. Working with supportive specialists gave me hands-on experience, new knowledge and meaningful connections. This opportunity helped me grow both professionally and personally, while opening doors for my future.

EMÜ EQUINE CLINIC

I had an incredibly fulfilling five weeks at the clinic. I especially appreciated many hands-on opportunities to practice my surgical and other clinical skills under the careful guidance of the interns and veterinarians and the discussions around current clinical cases from the stables were equally rewarding.
