First and foremost, candidates should hold a relevant academic degree. For teaching positions, we value teaching skills and the readiness to supervise students.
Equally important are strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Proficiency in Estonian and/or English is necessary, depending on the specifics of the position. Academic staff must demonstrate their language proficiency during their initial attestation, which takes place in the fifth year of employment following the start of the permanent contract.
