The mission of the Centre of Bioeconomy (BioMAK) is to initiate and advance interdisciplinary research and development activities in the field of the bioeconomy.

In accordance with the statutes of the Centre of Bioeconomy of the Estonian University of Life Sciences (approved by the University Council on 30 March 2017, decision no. 1-4/17; entered into force on 6 April 2017), the BioMAK Council may consist of up to nine members. The objective of the Estonian University of Life Sciences Development Fund is to support the university’s capacity to implement value chain–based and innovative projects in the fields of the circular bioeconomy.

BeUBio is a Baltic Sea Region cooperation project aimed at engaging young people in the implementation of bioeconomy and sustainable development goals.
IntAG2030 is a cooperation project that maps and promotes the implementation of Agenda 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in organisations and municipalities.
BioBaltic is a Nordic–Baltic cooperation project that promotes the development of the circular bioeconomy through knowledge exchange, networking, and practical solutions.
BioBoosters is an international cooperation project that accelerates bioeconomy innovation through hackathons, bringing together companies, experts, and development teams to create new solutions.
BOOST4BIOEAST is a Horizon Europe project that promotes the development of the bioeconomy in Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltic States.
