This is a brand-new gateway to our university’s exciting world of learning, research, and collaboration!

 

Did you know that:

  • The Estonian University of Life Sciences is the only university in Estonia where scientists study all aspects of the circular bioeconomy, both scientifically and in practice?
  • Our university has over 50 laboratories of various sizes, supporting both education and research across different fields?
  • Hidden within the university are 850,000 different insects, arachnids, worms, and other tiny creatures? Don’t worry—they’re not roaming free!
  • Our Forest Building houses the Soil Museum, where researchers can talk about soil and rocks so engagingly that you won’t want them to stop?
  • Already since 2004, our Nature Science School has been expanding the horizons of school students?

We rolled up our sleeves and got to work.

Our goal was to create an innovative and accessible website where our key audiences can easily find clear and reliable information. Here, we value honest, fact-based, and inclusive communication, respect our partners, and rely on science-based arguments.

The university community has been waiting for this new website for a long time!

Our web home is a living organism

We still have a little way to go before we can say—it’s truly coming together. Some texts are missing, some still need translation, and that’s why we’ve kept a link to the old website in the header—for nostalgia or simply to help find information that isn’t here yet. It may seem bold, but in today’s world, waiting for perfection before launching isn’t the way things work. A web home is never truly finished—there’s always a detail to fix, a lightbulb to replace, or a fresh coat of paint to add. You know how it goes.

We hope you enjoy our new and evolving web home and can easily find what you’re looking for. It’s built for you, and together, we can make it even better.

Our partner in creating the new website has been and continues to be the hardworking, open, and flexible team at Trinidad Wisemanlink opens in new page. On the university side, more than 300 colleagues have contributed to the development of the new websites (yes, eventually, there will be over 10 websites in this web family). Additionally, hundreds of volunteers from outside the university have assisted us in testing the menus.
