University in numbers

15. veebruari 2025. a seisuga on meil 2718 üliõpilast. 

Nendest 1793 õpib kõrghariduse esimesel astmel (rakenduskõrgharidusõppes, bakalaureuseõppes või integreeritud bakalaureuse- ja magistriõppe õppekaval).

Magistriõppes õpib 734 üliõpilast ja doktoriõppes 191. 

Eesti Maaülikoolis on 42 õppekava, sh:

• 2 rakenduskõrgharidusõppe õppekava
• 4 bakalaureuseõppe õppekava
• 4 integreeritud bakalaureuse- ja magistriõppe õppekava
• 18 magistriõppekava
• 5 doktoriõppekava

4 õppekava on ingliskeelse õppega (1 integreeritud bakalaureuse- ja magistriõppe õppekava ning 3 magistriõppekava).

Täiendusõppijaid oli meil 2024. aastal üle 3500.

• Employees: 1,060 (including 621 women and 439 men)
• Average age: 47
• Foreign employees: 146, of whom 113 are academic staff, making up 20% of academic staff
• Academic staff: 565 (including 290 women and 275 men)
• There are 101 people in professorial positions (18% of academic staff), of whom 64 are R4* level professors
• The tenure system includes 24 positions, of which 18 are R4* level tenure professors.

*R4 – In the European research framework, the R4 level refers to the position of Professor (Leading Researcher – researchers leading their research area or field).

In 2024 our researchers published 592 high-level publications.

In 2024, 20 PhD degrees were defended at our university.

As of 18 February 2025, 235 research, development and innovation projects are undergoing.
