Campus

Our cozy and compact campus welcomes everyone entering Tartu via Tallinn Highway. Most of the buildings of the Estonian University of Life Sciences are located in the Tähtvere district of Tartu, along F. R. Kreutzwaldi and Tuglase streets. The research and academic buildings, dormitories, and sports hall are all within walking distance of each other.

The city center is just 2 kilometers away from the campus, the same distance as the railway station, which offers convenient train connections to Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius. There is also good bus connectivity to Tartu’s city center (with bus lines 3, 6, and 13 stopping on campus), and many long-distance buses to Tallinn stop here as well.

The campus is surrounded by lush greenery and boasts incredible biodiversity: we have recorded over 230 native herbaceous plant species, 110 species of trees and shrubs, 80 species of lichens, 304 species of invertebrates, and 106 species of mosses, among others. A true paradise!

Right nearby, you’ll find the dendropark’s hiking and ski trails, Tähtvere Sports Park, the Emajõgi River beach, and the Tartu Song Festival Grounds.

As leaders in the bioeconomy, we have several field stations across different regions of Estonia. In addition to pioneering research and industry collaboration, these sites serve as practical training bases for our students.

The Estonian University of Life Sciences’ field stations are located in Järvselja, Rõhu, Polli, Puhtu, Märja, and by Lake Võrtsjärv.
