The Estonian Code of Conduct for Research Integrity is an agreement between research institutions and funders on the fundamental values and principles of action that the research community should follow in its activities.
The aim of The Estonian Code of Conduct for Research Integrity is to support the
learning about, adoption and embedding of good practices,
thereby helping to enhance the credibility of science in the eyes of the individual and the public.
It is important to keep in mind that the responsibility for ethical science lies with everyone involved in science. Scientists alone cannot ensure good science. In order for scientists to behave ethically, it is necessary to create the appropriate conditions at the organizational and system level.
At the Estonian University of Life Sciences, adherence to The Estonian Code of Conduct for Research Integrity is supported by Good Academic Practice and the principles of academic ethics.
Research institutions cooperate closely to ensure equal treatment.
The Estonian Code of Conduct for Research Integrity complements the Code of Ethics for Estonian Researchers adopted in 2002.
