Lecture by Dr. Frederick Stoddard: “Raising the pulse of our cropping systems”

Dr Stoddard is a docent and university lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Sciences, working in the Crop Sciences Group. His research focuses on grain legumes, especially faba bean (Vicia faba), and spans genetics, genomics, breeding, phenotyping, agronomy, and environmental sustainability.

The lecture will discuss the importance of grain legumes in sustainable cropping systems and food networks, with a particular emphasis on breeding strategies, quality traits, and the agroecological role of faba bean.
