From August 25–29, 2025, the NKG Summer School will take place in Tartu. The summer school offers PhD students a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge in the field of geodesy. The programme is primarily designed for doctoral candidates in geodesy and related Earth sciences.
The main topics covered during the week include Geodesy and the Sea, Contemporary GNSS Positioning Challenges, and Machine Learning Strategies in Geodesy. In addition, the school will address the evolution of geodetic methods — from the historic Struve Arc to modern space-based techniques.
Participants will have the opportunity to delve into these scientific topics and attend lectures delivered by leading experts in the field. Tartu, with the charm of its historic university town, offers an inspiring and supportive environment for those looking to advance their scientific journey.
