Reynald Ponte, a doctoral student at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, received the Best Poster Award in the MSc/PhD student category at the International Sustainable Resource Recovery Strategies Toward Zero Waste (FULLRECO4US) conference, held in Basel, Switzerland from 5–7 May 2025.
Reynald participated in the conference with a poster titled “Utilization of liquid by-products from hydrothermal carbonization for the production of value-added products: a combined process using purple phototrophic bacteria and anaerobic digestion” and won the Best Poster Award in the Msc/PhD Student category.
Reynald is a doctoral student in the Chair of Energy Application Engineering, Institute of Forestry and Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Lisandra Meneses and the co-supervision of Prof. Larysa Khomenkova from the V. Lashkaryov Institute of Semiconductor Physics & National University "Kyiv Mohyla academy" in Ukraine and Dr. Durga Parajuli from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Japan.
