As always, the Department of Academic Affairs is organizing an orientation programme for new Erasmus+ exchange students.
The day began with an introductory session at the Estonian University of Life Sciences. In addition, the students took part in their first Estonian language class, followed by a library introduction and a city tour.
Tomorrow and the day after, the students will be introduced to ÕIS and other study-related topics. They will also become familiar with the most important locations on campus. The orientation programme also includes information sessions and ice skating at the Town Hall Square.
Approximately 50 new international students will arrive for the spring semester. The largest numbers come from France and Germany, with additional students arriving from Austria, Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, Latvia, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Turkey, and Ukraine.
The aim of the orientation programme is to ensure that students—almost all of whom are experiencing living and studying abroad for the first time, and for whom this may also be somewhat daunting—feel as welcome as possible and are introduced to essential practical matters.
