For international students, the academic year always begins already at the end of August. To help them adjust more smoothly to life in Estonia, the Office of Academic Affairs organises an orientation programme, during which students get to know the campus and study system of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, as well as the local language and culture.
The Orientation Week for international students starts on 25 August and lasts until 29 August. This year’s programme once again includes the now traditional Estonian language class, campus and city tours, as well as a visit to the Tartu Adventure Park. At the end of the week, participants will also visit the Estonian National Museum.
Among degree-seeking students, the largest number will come from Finland, but also from the Azerbaijan, France, Georgia, India, Iran, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Switzerland, Turkey and United States. Most Erasmus+ exchange students will come from France, but also from the Czech Republic, Denmark, Georgia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey.
Altogether, around 100 new international students are expected to join us for the autumn semester. Let’s do our best to make them feel at home here. You can find the full programme herelink opens in new page.
