Applications for the English-taught degree programs were submitted from 27 different countries

05.06.2025

The application period for English-taught programs ended on May 31. The veterinary medicine program received the highest number of applications.

Until the end of May, citizens from European Union countries, the European Economic Area, as well as Georgia, Ukraine, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Turkey, were able to apply to three English-language programs: the 6-year integrated bachelor’s and master’s program in veterinary medicine, and two master’s programs in landscape architecture and environmental governance and adaptation to climate change. Admission for students from third countries had already closed earlier.

The veterinary medicine program received the most applications, totaling 77, with 40 of those coming from Finland. This demonstrates that our veterinary education continues to be highly regarded both in neighboring countries and further abroad.

The competition was somewhat smaller for the English-taught master’s programs in environmental governance and adaptation to climate change and landscape architecture, which received 24 and 10 applications respectively. In total, applications to the three programs came from 27 different countries.

Approximately 10% of the Estonian University of Life Sciences’ students are international students or exchange students coming to study for a semester or two through mobility programs. More detailed information about admission to the English-language programs can be found on our websitelink opens in new page.
