The Estonian University of Life Sciences is seeking candidates for the positions of Director of the Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Director of the Institute of Forestry and Engineering, and Director of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences. The deadline for submitting applications is 29 October.
Candidates for the position of director must hold an academic degree, have experience in managing an academic organisation or one of its units, and demonstrate competence in at least one of the fields of study or research associated with the respective institute.
Applicants are required to submit an application, a curriculum vitae, a copy of the document certifying their academic degree, and a two-page maximum action plan outlining their objectives and priorities as director. All documents must be submitted in Estonian by 4 p.m. on 29 October.
A public debate with the director candidates will take place in the assembly hall of the university’s main building on 11 November. The election meeting will be held on 16 November at 2 p.m., and the electronic secret ballot will close at 5 p.m. on 18 November.
The terms of office of the new directors will begin on 1 January 2027.
