On the evenings of September 24th and 25th, scientists at the Estonian University of Life Sciences opened the doors of their laboratories to the public, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how science is done. Over the course of two evenings, more than 250 curious visitors explored the university's Tartu campus in Tähtvere.
As part of the Researchers’ Night programme, the university hosted a total of 32 events and featured two exhibitions. The most popular activities were hands-on workshops where participants could get actively involved. The workshops on making ice cream and butter filled up the fastest, but lively chemistry experiments and thermal camera demonstrations for detecting injuries in horses also proved very popular.
The next Researchers’ Night at the Estonian University of Life Sciences will take place on September 23–24, 2026.
