At the Estonian University of Life Sciences, continuing education is organized and coordinated by the Open University – a support structure unit under the responsibility of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. Its goal is to offer continuing education based on the principles of lifelong learning, meeting the needs of society and the labor market.
Anyone who wishes to participate in additional training or take courses from the university's degree programs as part of continuing education is welcome to study at the Open University.
What are the main areas of activity of the Open University?
- In cooperation with the university's structural units, we organize continuing education in all fields related to rural life and agriculture, as well as the use of essential resources and the preservation of the living environment.
- We provide services needed by society, based on educational and developmental activities.
- We collaborate with alumni and employers.
- We manage continuing education registers in the study information system and the document management system.
- We lead continuing education activities between the university's structural units.
