1. Go to the SIS homepage (click the "Go to SIS" button below).
2. Select "Courses" from the list.
3. If you know, specify the institute of interest in the structural unit field:
If desired, you can also add a keyword of interest in the "Part of course title" field.
4. In the confirmed curriculum row, it is smart to choose either regular studies or block mode study, which is confirmed for the semester that suits you – then only the courses that are taught in that form of study during that time will be shown in the list.
5. Start the search.
6. Review the content of the course(s) offered as a result of the search.
Download, fill out, and digitally sign the application, then send it to the email address [email protected].
Based on the application, the Open University staff will coordinate the study opportunity with the institute, and after that, they will prepare a training agreement, a sample of which you can find below.
Once your application has been accepted, coordinated, and the training agreement has been signed, you will receive the status of a continuing education student and can soon start studying.
As a first step, it is smart to update your SIS user account (or create one) using your ID card. To do this, click the button you find below.
Then, make sure to check if your university email account started working as a result of updating (or creating) your SIS account.
Studies are conducted according to the academic calendar and the timetable prepared for the specific semester. You can find these in SIS under "Academic Calendar" and "My Timetable."
All information related to courses is sent directly to your university email account via ÕIS. Alternative email addresses are generally not used for sending notifications related to academic work.
Credits (ECTS) earned in continuing education can later be transferred to degree studies.
Institutes are responsible for the academic side of studies (courses, curricula, timetables, academic organization in the institute, etc.). If you have questions about the organization of studies, you can get help from your lecturer or academic affairs specialist.
The price is determined by the order of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.
As of 07.02.2022, the cost of 1 ECTS credit is 70 euros, except for veterinary medicine courses in Estonian and English, where the cost of 1 ECTS credit is 150 euros.
