The European Research Council (ERC) announced the results of this year’s Advanced Grants call today. Among the grant recipients is Ülo Niinemets, a professor of crop science and plant biology at the Estonian University of Life Sciences and a member of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, who is recognized as one of the world’s leading scientists in his field.
The Asia-Pacific Association for Sustainable Waste Management awarded Prof. Lisandra Meneses with the International Young Waste Researcher Award during the International Conference on Solid Waste 2025: Waste Management for Carbon Neutrality and Circular Economy (ICSWDG2025), that took place in Dongguan, China from 9-12 of June.
The doctoral student Reynald Ponte was awarded the Larry Kaufman Scholarship for Students (LKSS) to attend in the 52nd International Conference on Computer Coupling of Phase Diagrams and Thermochemistry (CALPHAD) in Busan Korea. Only 20 students were selected for this scholarship and our Doctoral Student Reynald Ponte was one of them.
On June 13, 2025, at 12:00, the festive graduation ceremony of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences took place at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, in the hall of Kreutzwaldi 1A. Diplomas were awarded to 84 graduates from the fields of veterinary medicine, animal science, and food technology.
The application period for English-taught programs ended on May 31. The veterinary medicine program received the highest number of applications.
